BIRMINGHAM -- Dr. Raymond Allen Hamilton II, (Col, ret.) of Auburn, AL, died Saturday, February 16, 2013. Associate professor of aviation policy at Auburn University, he was a USAF pilot for 27 years with 5,000+ flying hours (300 combat). Preceded in death by wife Malissa Duggan of Albany, he is survived by son Monte Rex and wife Pamela and granddaughter Lily, of Birmingham, AL; daughter Christine of Fort Collins, CO; sister Alice Anne Holland of Chicago, Illinois; sister-in-law Debra Duggan Ortt and family, Duncan, SC; brother-in-law, Leonard Duggan and family, Americus, GA; and several nephews and nieces. Memorial service is Friday, February 22, at Shades Crest Baptist Church, 452 Park Avenue, Birmingham, AL, 35226. Visitation begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by a service at 7 p.m. Burial at USAFA, TBD.
