ALBANY, Ga. — With gun control a hot topic, a town hall meeting will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday to discuss whether guns should be allowed in schools and churches.
The monthly town hall meeting hosted by Ward I City Commissioner Jon Howard will have Jesse Jackson of U.S. Highway 19 Church of Christ and Troy Conley, Dougherty County School System police chief, as guests speakers.
"I hope you will adjust your busy morning schedules so that you can participate by asking questions or making comments," Howard said. "This is a meeting you don't want to miss."
Howard said the meeting will be held at the East Albany Community Center at 1721 E. Oglethorpe Blvd., and is expected to last about 90 minutes.
