COLQUITT -- Carol Smith 88, of Colquitt died Thursday, February 21, 2013, at Miller County Hospital. Funeral services will be Sunday, February 24, 2013, at 3:00 PM at Colquitt Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Kent Barwick, Rev. William Smith, and Hubert Stafford officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, February 24, 2013, from 1:30-3:00 PM at Colquitt Free Will Baptist Church.? Interment will be Tuesday, February 26, 2013, at11:00 AM at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens in Glasgow, WV, with Rev. Burt Hall officiating following a viewing beginning at 10:00 AM at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Smith was a member of Colquitt Free Will Baptist Church. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, William (Tara) Smith, Jr. of Colquitt, GA; three grandchildren, David (Tina) McPhail of Charleston, WV, Eric (Megan) Smith of Crawfordville, FL, and Bethany Smith of Colquitt, GA; four great grandchildren, Emily McPhail, Colton Smith, Jaxson Knight, and Tucker Smith; and one brother, John (Sherry) Johnson of Fredricksburg, VA. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, William Ervin Smith, Sr.; her parents, Richard and Jessie Johnson; one daughter, Carol McPhail; two brothers, Lewis Melvin Johnson, and Reed Johnson; and one grandson, William Smith, III.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Colquitt Free Will Baptist Church Building Fund.
