TAMPA, Fla. -- Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. today for the three-day Funfest Music Festival planned May 3-5 at Tampa.
More than 30 acts are scheduled to perform during the inaugural Funfest, with artists such as Train, the Smashing Pumpkins, REO Speedwagon, Styx, the Wallflowers, Cheap Trick, New Found Glory and Chris Carrabba of Dashboard Confessional already confirmed among the showcase artists.
More special guests are expected to be announced in coming days.
In addition to the six musical stages at Funfest, attendees will have access to more than 60 rides and attractions at the Florida State Fairgrounds.
Train, the Smashing Pumpkins and Cheap Trick highlight Friday's performances, while Saturday's musical highlights include REO Speedwagon, Ted Nugent, New Found Glory and Carrabba. Sunday's top acts include the Wallflowers, Kix Brooks and Gary Allen.
Advance general admission tickets are $20 a day through April 26. Reserve seating is available for an additional fee. Tickets for kids ages 6-12 are $10, while children 5 and under get in free. Tickets may be purchased at www.floridastatefair.com, www.funshinefestival.com and www.livenation.com. Tickets may also be purchased at all Ticketmaster outlets or by phone at (800) 745-3000.
