A suspect apprehended during what police say was an attempted burglary on Bobbit Drive sits in the rear of a police car Monday.
ALBANY, Ga. — The Albany Police Department has a suspect in custody after a home invasion Monday in the 700 block of Bobbitt Drive.
According to APD reports, the female victim was inside the home when she heard someone forcing his way inside the residence. She locked herself in the bathroom and called 911.
While she was inside the bathroom, the suspect , identified as Dontiea Williams, 30, ransacked her home. When officers arrived, they observed Williams exiting the house through a window with a laptop and TV set in his possession.
The suspect initially resisted, was Tasered and taken into custody. He was transported to the Law Enforcement Center for questioning.
No charges have been filed at this time, and the case remains under active investigation.
