ALBANY, Ga. — A man smashed his way into an Albany pharmacy Tuesday snagging several cartons of cigarettes and leaving a bloody trail in his wake.
Police say that around 1 a.m. Tuesday, an unidentified man smashed glass at the Walgreens on the 2400 block of Sylvester Road, entered the store and stole several cartons of smokes before leaving the scene.
When officers first responded later Tuesday morning, they noted a large amount of blood at the scene.
An Albany Police spokesperson said that evidence was collected from the scene and police are actively chasing down leads.
