On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to congratulate Superior Court Judge Denise Marshall of Albany on her appointment by Gov. Nathan Deal to the State Commission on Family Violence.
The entire state will benefit from Judge Marshall’s service on the commission, which works with judges, advocates, law enforcement, medical professionals, educators and concerned citizens across Georgia to provide leadership and coordinate a community response to end the problem of family violence.
Judge Marshall’s acceptance of this appointment demonstrates her continued commitment to public service, which in turn serves to promote the cause of justice, uphold the rule of law and protect the rights of all citizens. We wish her well in her new position of statewide leadership.
