ALBANY -- Cecil Henry Eaton, 95, of Pelham, died Sunday, December 30, 2012 at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM today, Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home with interment in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Robert Lewis and Rev. Tom Newman will officiate.
Grandsons Doug Brown, Kelly Brown, Colby Brown, Kermit Gilliard, Jr., Stan Gilliard, Lance Morrell, Lane Morrell, Michael Harrell, Brock Eaton and Bubba Workman will serve as pallbearers and great grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Born April 16, 1917 in Decatur Co, Ga., to the late William Henry and Anna Lelia Daughtry Eaton, Mr. Eaton was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was a retired mechanic and farmer. Mr. Eaton was preceded in death by his first wife, Mattie Collins Eaton; son, Charles Eaton and daughter, Sharon Willis.
Survivors include his wife, Frances M. Eaton of Crawfordville, FL; three daughters, Cecile Brown & husband Ethridge, of Baconton, Peggy Gilliard & husband Kermit, of Cairo, and Helen Morrell & husband Lannis, of Pelham; one son, Franklin Eaton & wife Terri, of Arabi; step-children, Charles Barwick & wife, Glenda of Panacea, FL, Daniel Barwick & wife, Stephanie of Crawfordville, FL, Dorothy Erickson & husband, Rick of Hackberry, LA, Patsy Haley of Crawfordville, FL, and Debby Mobley of Pelham; 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Parker-Bramlett Funeral Home.
