ALBANY, Ga. — A Downtown Albany boutique is opening up a second location on Dawson Road, officials say.
My Sister's Place, a french market-style boutique, gift and furniture store will be opening up a second location in a shopping plaza next to Harvest Moon on Dawson Road.
"We hope to have everything opened up and ready to go before Valentines Day," owner Missy Whitney said.
Whitney said that she intends on moving most of the retail items like her clothing selection and some of her gift items to that store, while keeping the bigger furniture items at the larger store space downtown.
"My husband really wanted to make more of his style of furniture and the downtown store is bigger," Whitney says.
Whitney says she has no immediate plans of closing the downtown store, adding that it will stay open at least through the term of her commitment with the city's Small Business Incubator program, which expires July 2014.
People who have items to sell and would like to use the store's vendor space, can call 432-5400.
