Police/Fire/EMS report for January 5, 2013

ALBANY — Albany police responded to at least 45 incidents Thursday into the early hours of Friday, according to available reports. Police responded to incidents including:

— Robbery by force on the 200 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Burglary on the 2600 block of Dawson Road, the 300 block of South Mock Road, the 2300 block of Gail Avenue, the 500 block of Hickory Lane, the 2400 block of Brierwood Drive and the 1600 block of Whiting Drive;

— Theft by taking on the 300 block of West Mercer Avenue, the 1900 block of South Madison Street and the 900 block of West Second Avenue;

— Aggravated assault on the 1200 block of South Harding Street and the 500 block of Perth Lane;

— Entering auto on the 400 block of Dorsett Avenue;

— Obstruction of officer on the 2800 block of Nottingham Way;

— Assault (domestic) on the 1400 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, the 400 block of Hudson Lane, the 1500 block of Pearl Avenue and the 1900 block of Riverview Circle;

— Aggravated assault (domestic) on the 1300 block of Mobile Avenue;

DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least eight calls according to available police reports.

Police responded to incidents including:

— Vehicle crash on the 3000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive;

— Traffic stop, suspect ran away on the 200 block of East Oakridge Drive.

DOUGHERTY COUNTY EMS:The Dougherty County Emergency Medical Service responded to 75 calls on Thursday.

There were 51 medical calls and 24 trauma calls. Medical Calls and trauma calls included but were not limited to:

— Four chest pain calls, four altered medical states, four diabetic issues, four seizures, four mental health calls, 21 various medical calls, 17 vehicle crash victims and five falls.

ALBANY FIRE DEPARTMENT: The Albany Fire Department responded to six incidents.

— Unattended cooking caused two fires, one with $6,000 in damage another with $1,000 in damage, two vehicle crash, electric short, trash fire and an EMS assist.
