CAMILLA -- William Thaxton Harrell, 75, of Patmos, died Thursday, January 3, 2013 at his residence, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's disease.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Patmos Freewill Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Curtis Alligood will officiate.
Born September 4, 1937 in Randolph County, Mr. Harrell was the son of the late Brantley T. and Joan Hand Harrell. He was a member of Patmos Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Harrell retired from Warner Robins Air Force Base, after 35 years of service. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Beebe and a brother, Dan Harrell.
Survivors include his wife, Gail Harrell of Patmos; two daughters, Allison Mansfield and husband, John, of Newton and Janie Harrell of Lakeland, FL; one sister, Winnie Stanley of Macon; four grandchildren, Thomas Mansfield and wife, Rachel, Michael Duncan, Victoria Duncan, and Jesse Duncan; and four great grandchildren, Alexis, Alyssa, Jasmine, and Kyla.
Visitation will be from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m., Saturday, before services, at the church.
