Woman walks in front of bus, escapes injury

ALBANY, Ga. — Dianne Taylor, 57, of Albany walked across two westbound lanes on Sylvester Road about 2:25 p.m. Wednesday. It was reported that she had possibly been hit by an empty school bus driven by Terrence Howard, 20, of Albany, stated an Albany Police Department report.

The bus was headed eastbound after a turn from Cordele Road, the report added. Emergency Medical Services responded and no injuries were reported, the report added. No charges were filed.

ALBANY POLICE: Albany police responded to at least 41 incidents Tuesday, according to available reports. Police responded to incidents including:

— Theft by taking on the 400 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard, the 1000 block of West Gordon Avenue, the 2100 block of Beacon Court, the 1500 block of Palmyra Road, the 300 block of East Oakridge Drive and an unknown block of Second Avenue;

— Disorderly conduct on the 600 block of Willard Avenue, the 2000 block of Tompkins Avenue, the 2400 block of Sylvester Road and the 400 block of West Tift Avenue;

— Recovered property, a pellet gun on the 900 block of West Highland Avenue;

— Identity fraud on the 1700 block of West Highland Avenue;

— Entering auto on the 900 block of West Highland Avenue, 700 West Second Avenue and the 1400 block of Palmyra Road;

— Identity theft on the 2200 block of Gillionville Road;

— Recovered motor vehicle on the 100 block of Wells Avenue;

— Recovered contraband on the 200 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Burglary on the 1700 block of Dorchester Drive, the 900 block of West Tift Avenue, the 1300 block of West Fourth Avenue and the 1700 block of Dorchester Drive;

— Harassment (domestic) on the 2000 block of Robinhood Road;

— Assault (domestic) on the 300 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Domestic (unfounded) on the 1300 block of South McKinley Street.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: Dougherty County police responded to at least 13 calls according to police reports.

Police responded to incidents including:

— Family violence on the 2600 block of Trenton Lane and the 1600 block of Duitman Road;

— Civil matter on the 2100 block of Habersham Road;

— Criminal trespass on the 3600 block of Council Road and the 6700 block of Newton Road;

— Animal call on the 200 block of Paige Street;

— Theft of less than $500 on the 500 block of Sportsman Road;

— Traffic arrest on the 1700 block of Beattie Road.

DOUGHERTY COUNTY EMS: The Dougherty County Emergency Medical Service responded to 47 calls on Tuesday.

There were 41 medical calls and six trauma calls. Medical Calls and trauma calls included, but were not limited to, six respiratory issues, five obstetrics calls, four chest pains, four seizures, four miscellaneous pain calls, 14 various medical calls, two falls and one vehicle crash victim.

LEE COUNTY SHERIFF: The Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to at least 35 calls.

— Theft on the 100 block of Pine Lakes Drive, the 200 block of Stocks Dairy Road, the 100 block of Taylor Street and the 500 block of Sportsmans Club Road;

— Vehicle crash on the 100 block of Winding Way, the 2800 block of Ledo Road and the 1100 block of Graves Springs Road;

— Terroristic threats on the 100 block of Travis Lane;

— Vehicle abandoned on the 1200 block of Highway 82;

— Shots fired on the 100 block of Lynwood Lane;

— Road Hazard on the 100 block of Winding Way;

— Child abuse on the 800 block of Armena Road;

— Animal call, injured deer on the side of Haley Drive;

— Forgery on the 1500 block of Highway 19.
