ATLANTA — The Atlanta-based nonprofit Heating Energy Assistance Team has launched its statewide “Neighbors Helping Neighbors Keep Warm” campaign to assist Georgians who need help paying energy and utility bills.
The HEAT program runs from Jan. 15 to March 31 and encourages Georgia residents to donate $5 to a family in need. Donations may be made through www.heatga.org/warm.
During the winter of 2011-12, HEAT gave financial assitance to almost 1,600 Georgia families.

My relative needed help and got nothing from WGL. This may be an option, but air is higher than winter heat. Why not summer too.

You ought to be thinking about that heating bill when your choking the line down at the gas station playing the lottery. It's about priorities. Why do I need to pay my bill when I got you to do it for me ? Call your hero in the White House and have him live up to his extravagant promises. Oh and by the way, if you want to go to the inauguration, this year, you'll need to sell your BMW and start walking

The main ones complaining are the ones that are looking for the hand outs or mad because they aren't eligible for them. You people (erock and Ruby) disturb me with your rude comments everyday as if you all are living the good life in the "GOOD LIFE CITY" knowing d*** well you are probably struggling more than the people that aren't ashame to face society and say they are in need.
Personally, its not like this organization asked you directly by name to contribute. You all think you are the only ones that pay taxes but we all do whether you work at burger king, Mcdonalds, the convenience store, grocery store .Don't be to quick to judge because you never know when you will have to stand in line and wait for these benefits and you sure do not know people situations.

Carter... these idiots on this site know everything. This is their way of venting their prejudice comments without revealing who they are. They are a group of ignorant opinionated pea brains who think they know it all.
