ALBANY -- Lillian Remick Kiger, 89, of Albany died Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 3:00 PM with visitation starting an hour prior at 2:00 PM. Mr. Martin Burson will officiate.

A native of Thompsonville, CT, Mrs. Kiger was retired from Phoebe Putney Hospital with over 20 years of service as a registered nurse. She was a member of First United Methodist Church here in Albany. She was also a member of Phoebe's Golden Key Club. Lillian loved her family and enjoyed traveling, sewing and needle work of any kind. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Sheldon F. Kiger.

Survivors include three sons, David Kiger(Cheryle) of Goosecreek, SC, Keith Kiger and Rex Kiger (Sharon) all of Albany, four daughters, Denice Kiger Saxon (Ray), Martha Hale and Debi Kiger Batey, all of Albany and Lynn Kiger Burson (Martin) of Lee County, brothers, Harley Remick (Carolyn) of Eliot, Maine, and David Remick of Brasher Falls, New York, eleven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great-grandson.

The family will be at 4817 Barnsway Lane, in Putney.
