Seminar deals with stress in business

ALBANY — Chick-fil-A of Albany is partnering with Sherwood Baptist Church in sponsoring “Turning Stress into Strategy During Times of Change,” the first of a planned series of quarterly lunch seminars aimed at business and city leaders.

According to Anna Wari, who with her husband owns Chick-fil-A restaurants on Dawson Road and at the Albany Mall, the Lunch and Learn session will be held 11:45 a.m.-1:15 p.m. Monday at Sherwood Baptist Church, 2201 Whispering Pines Road. Conducting the session will be psychologist and author Charles Lowery.

“We’re always looking for a chance to share opportunities with business, nonprofits and community leaders,” Wari said. “We knew Dr. Lowery would be in town for a family conference at Sherwood and so it worked out very well.”

Lowery’s website, www.charleslowery.com, states that Lowery uses humor and his experience as a psychologist to provide entertainment, education and encouragement for keynote addresses, seminars, corporate speaking and training, business coaching and banquets.

“Dr. Lowery will offer those at the session some sound advice to keep stressful situations from leading to strained relationships,” Wari said.

Tickets for the event are $10 for each attendee and includes a Chick-fil-A box meal. To register for the event go to www.cfaalbanylunchlearn.eventbrite.com.
