Squawk of the day - Jan. 14, 2013

"I don’t understand how someone’s reproductive issues supposedly are zero percent of my business, but 100 percent financially my responsibility. Welfare. Doesn’t make sense to this taxpayer."

I don't want to have anything to say about their reproductive issues and I don't want to give them my tax money. Same with big corporations.

I for one do not care how many brats you decide to have as long as you support them. It goes against Biblical doctrine to expect the masses to support your sex with various men. If we went after these baby daddies, things would change. It is also your responsibility to educate your offspring on sex. Their very lives could depend on it. We still have AIDS and men kill women over their immoral activities. It has never ceased to amaze me how you can sit in church every Sunday after the night before sex out of wedlock. But all said and done, Viagara should not be paid for by the taxpayers either. My take on that, is that Viagara will hasten your death. It will kill you.

Now, if all the intelligance that routinely posts here would just come up with a way to prevent these out of wedlock pregnancies, Society would be oh so greatful. I am to the point of recommending DNA testing and the incarceration of the males responsible that do not step up and take responsibility. It is true that Society no longer holds these births as an embarassment, but actually welcomes them. That I blame on TV telling folks what an enjoyable experience sex can be if you use such and such a product, and a whole group that came up unmarried Mothers that see no problem with their prodiginy continueing the tradition.

How about stopping welfare altogether unless the person is over the age of 55 and/or has a disability. If that doesn't sit well with the give away crowd, then tie welfare to drug testing (including alcohol). Final solution, welfare for one, forced sterilization thereafter.

I was told growing up that welfare and such programs were for when people came into hardship, unemployment, temporary disability, other such hardships until the person got back up on their feet again. A temporary solution to a problem, a last resort, not a way of life. I am Black and my mother worked two jobs at times to raise me and my sisters after she and my father separated.

I worked at Hardees when I was younger and we would have these single mothers come in on the first and buy large amounts of fast foods because that was the only time they could treat their kids. Sad.

If I have to support these use welfare moms its my bussiness. The dumb a$$ libtards have set it up so if you want a raise in your welfare just pump out another kid. I don't think it would bother people so much if the moms were held acountable, but no they have a Lexus, 4g phones and their kids are on the streets. You can dailly watch people use their foodstamp card for cigs & beer just go hang around any convienence store.

Prior to welfare illegitimate births were low. Welfare made it uneconomical to have a father present. Now we have a proposed tv show about a rapper in Atlanta with 10 baby mamas and one in application mode. Our president is illegitimate so what do you expect!? Welfare must be gradually reduced and maybe use DNA to track the father and put him to work like the CCC work camps of the 1930s.

"When you pay people to be poor, you will have a lot more of 'em"

Which demographic per capita receives 4x more welfare than any other demographic? Why is that? There is no good excuse for that fact.

........oh, I know in the eyes of some, including HIs Honor the All-Wise Carlton Fletcher, that I am a racist for even asking the question......but it's a serious question that deserves a serious answer.........y'all have a good day.

Here's my brilliant idea - Cap offs are a necessary component of welfare. You can receive assistance for two kids tops!! Your third child is your responsibility; from medical bills, formula, and food to education and health care. Those who do not work should NOT receive earned income credit for their children. If you have no income and you completely live off the system, you receive NO TAX RETURN!! What you would have received will go back into the pot!

Once welfare mothers realize that they will not be rewarded for promiscuous behavior they will stop having so many kids. Once they realize they won't receive monies for the children, they will stop having them. Most of them don't care about the kids anyway - they just want the freebies! Stop the money, stop the needless breeding.

I agree that the taxpayers should not have to support any child(ren) other than their own child(ren). No one can receive Earned Income Credit unless they have wages or self employment, hence the "earned" title. This is not to say that kids that are supported by the state are not being claimed as dependents on some wage earners tax return to falsely claim Earned Income Credit. Wonder how many of your co-workers and neighbors have thousands of dollars of tax refunds that are fraudulent? Just watch for all the new tvs and cars being sold at tax refund time. Seems like some computer program would be developed to catch the cheats. If you claim a child as your dependent on your tax return then that child should be supported by you and not the state taxpayers.

Sister is absolutely right. Welfare has an unintended consequence. We are manufacturing poverty. The more we spend - the more we need to spend. Look at the numbers over the life of the welfare program.

I offered my neighbor a job where i work cause I know he doesnt have one and he flat out turned me down, said he was tired of working outside. i guess he makes more off unemployment than he would if he were working.

How about birth control at the age of 8 for everyone. AFTER the person graduates from High School and has a steady job the birth control device may be removed. No Exceptions. Any convection for a felony or drug possession will result in the device being replanted. That should take care of most of your complaints.

See? It isn't hard to open your mind to search for possible solutions to these problems without attacking the messenger. But I think I'd wait until after College (age 22) before removing the device. Or maybe just flick the switch like they do at those "buy here pay here" car places.
