The Lady Red Devils are tied for first in the Class A public school state power rankings, and rolled last week with wins against Quitman, Stewart and Early County, but face a big test Friday at Calhoun County. Next: at Calhoun County, 6 p.m., Friday.
2.) Monroe 13-5
The Lady Tornadoes stay at No. 2 despite a dismal performance in the Civic Center, where they couldn’t find the basket against Westover in a 37-22 loss. Next: at Cairo, 6 p.m., today.

The Lady Hornets fell at Thomasville, 40-39, in a crucial Region 1-AA game but won twice last week to stay at No. 3 in the poll. Next: vs. Cairo, 6 p.m., Saturday.
4.) Dougherty 8-5
The red-hot Lady Trojans debut in the poll after winning five of their last seven and beating Westover, which beat Monroe the next day. Next: at Americus-Sumter, 6 p.m., today.
5.) Americus-Sumter 9-4
The Lady Panthers beat Crisp County to knock the Lady Cougars out of the poll and debut at No. 5 heading into a big Region 1-AAAA game tonight. Next: vs. Dougherty, 6 p.m., today.

40 --- Number of rebounds Dougherty’s Ra’Keta Shelton pulled down this weekend. She had 19 against Westover and 21 against Albany. She scored 46 points in the two games, including 28 vs. Albany.
48 --- Number of points Miller County’s Mallory Diamond scored Tuesday vs. Baker County, the most anyone has scored in Southwest Georgia this season. She also had 18 rebounds and four steals.
