Wanted individual captured Tuesday
ALBANY, Ga. — Justin Scott, who had been wanted for multiple drug and weapons violations as well as failure to appear in court, was captured early Tuesday morning, Albany Police Department officials said.
Scott, 22, was taken into custody at about 4:30 a.m. on the 200 block of Baldwin Drive by uniform officers, police said.
The APD Gang Unit had issued a lookout for Scott last week.
ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 40 incidents Monday and into the early hours of Tuesday, available reports show. Incidents included:
— Theft by shoplifting on the 200 block of Cordele Road;
— Open container on the 200 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Affray on the 500 block of Bobbit Drive;
— Criminal trespass on the 1700 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard and the 300 block of Cordele Road;
— Assault on the 300 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;
— Domestic violence (unfounded) on the 200 block of Butler Drive and the 900 block of West Third Avenue;
— Battery on the 2900 block of Sylvester Road;
— Thefts by taking on the 700 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard and the 800 block of Rosedale Avenue;
— Domestic violence on the 2100 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and the 2400 block of Habersham Road;
— Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute on the 800 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard;
— Aggravated stalking on the 800 block of West Highland Avenue;
— Criminal damage to property in the second degree on the 500 block of Jefferies Avenue;
— Burglaries in the second degree on the 1400 block of East Broad Avenue and the 200 block of Cotton Avenue;
— Burglary in the first degree on the 1400 block of Pinecrest Drive;
— Entering autos on the 200 block of Garden Hill Drive and the 2300 block of Bluewater Drive;
— Disorderly conduct on the first block of Transvilla Parkway;
— Wanted persons on the 2200 block of Oxford Road and the 900 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;
— Expired tag on the 700 block of North Westover Boulevard;
— Disorderly conduct on the 2700 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Simple battery on the 1300 block of East Society Avenue;
— Driving on a suspended license on the 1400 block of West Oakridge Drive.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least five calls on Monday, available reports show. Incidents included:
— Traffic arrest on the 500 block of West Oakridge Drive;
— Accidental damage on the 4000 block of Moultrie Road.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least seven calls on Monday, available records show. Incidents included an authorized burn, a vehicle fire, a washdown, EMS assistance, APD assistance, an unauthorized burn and an activated fire alarm.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Dougherty Emergency Medical Service responded to a total of 67 calls on Monday, including 51 medical calls and 16 trauma calls. Medical calls included, but were not limited to, seven chest pain calls, seven respiratory issue calls, four miscellaneous pain calls, two diabetic issue calls, two mental health calls and 24 various medical calls. Trauma calls included, but were not limited to, five auto accident victims, four falls and three lacerations.
