ALBANY, Ga. — Shortly after he was sworn in as the Dougherty County School System’s interim superintendent Monday evening, contract details between David “Butch” Mosely and the school system were released.
The contract will be in effect through January of 2014 and will pay the Climax native $14,584 per month.
The contract contains a termination clause that says either party may end the contract without cause by giving 14 days notice prior to a specific termination date.
Mosely’s compensation package includes any and all expenses he might incur during his tenure, and the school system will have no responsibility for any said expenses other than the monthly payment.
In addition, the rules and regulations generally governing DCSS employees will have no application to Mosely except to the extent provided by statutes and laws of the state of Georgia.
Mosely will remain as interim superintendent until the Board of Education names a permanent replacement for former superintendent Joshua Murfree.
