BLAKELY, Ga. — According to Georgia Bureau of Investigation Special Agent in Charge Steven Turner, former Georgia State Patrol trooper Jaa Tucker, 32, stole marijuana stored as evidence and gave it to two female high school students.
"He (Tucker) was in the patrol when the incident occurred," Turner said. "He gave it to a couple girls in high school. They were legally of age at the time."
Tucker turned himself in at the Early County Sheriff's Office Wednesday at 9 a.m., a GBI report stated. He was released on bond the same day.
The report said Tucker faces charges of theft by a government employee, two counts of distribution of marijuana and three counts of violation of oath of office. The GBI office in Thomasville continues to investigate the case.
