ALBANY, Ga. — Albany Police Department officers are asking for help in finding stolen lawn-care equipment and the burglars who stole it.
Burglars broke into a shed on Monday and stole STIHL lawn-care equipment from the Riverside/Oakview Cemetery at 220 Cotton Ave. Included in the loot were six backpack blowers, three WeedEater grass trimmers and two other trimmers worth about $3,900.
According to a news release, "Detectives would like to remind citizens that if they are in possession of any of the equipment, it is in their best interest to speak with police immediately or they could be charged with theft by receiving stolen property."
Anyone with additional information is asked to call investigations at (229) 431-3288 or Crime Stoppers at (229) 436-TIPS (8477). The Spanish-speaking APD-COP Tip Line is (229) 434-2677.
