ALBANY, Ga. — Westover High School this week won its fourth consecutive district Academic Decathalon title held at the Isabella Complex.
The team earned a spot in the state competition scheduled to be held Feb. 22-23 in Gwinnett County. Last year the Patriots finished second runner-up in Division II and were the winners of the medium-sized schools competition.
Westover won awards in all categories of competition: literature, essay, science, social studies, art, music and math.
Individual high scorers for Westover were Reginald Mosley, honors; Evan Drew, scholastic; and Othellious Cato, varsity.
Other team members were Lloyd Fisher, Anne Belocura, Ian Smith, Tyler Sheffel, Willie Tyson, Chelsea Lee, Chirag Mendpara, Wai Lam, Dillon Notz, Annie Loudermilk and Thomas Langstaff.
Brian Collier is the team's academic advisor.
