ALBANY, Ga. — Five children riding bicycles back from a park found a body lying in a ditch along the 800 block of West Oakridge Drive at about 2:30 p.m. Saturday, according to an Albany Police Department report.
The body was identified as 58-year-old Alfonzo Miller. He had been missing since Wednesday and the disappearance was reported at 9 a.m. Saturday, said Phyllis Banks, police spokeswoman.
It looked as if he had fallen off his bicycle, suffered injuries and rolled into a ditch, Banks added. No cause of death was released by Saturday evening. Robbery/homicide detectives are following up on the case to determine if there was any foul play.
