VSU graduates announced

Valdosta State University has announced the names of students from fall 2012 who have met all qualifications for graduation. More than 800 have been recognized for receiving their associate’s, bachelor’s or master’s degrees.

Area students include Brooke Victoria Wood, Carlos Brandon Cody, Courtney Latrice Hall, Dolores Nicole Jackson, Erica La’Shawn Jackson, Hope Elizabeth Erickson, Jamarr Williams, Jeanna L. Hawkins, Mason Kingsley Davis, Montavious Tenez McKenzie, Porsche Renee Frierson, Sonja Maretta Pope and Theresa Ann West, all of Albany; Brittany Nicole Bell of Pelham; Lunden Michaela Connell of Sale City; Marlerie Franswillow Barnes of Camilla; Justin Dugger Groves of Meigs; Edward Arthur Favreau of Poulan, and Scotty Lynn Blanchard of Sumner.

GSWSU President’s List

Kaitlyn Morefield and Kari Todd of Albany were among 50 students from Georgia Southwestern State University who were recognized for earning a spot on the fall 2012 President’s List. To be eligible for the President’s List, a student must earn a semester GPA of 4.0 and take a minimum of 15 credit hours.

Dean’s Lists

Samuel Whatley of Albany has been named to the 2012 fall semester Dean’s List at West Virginia Wesleyan. Wesleyan’s Dean’s List requires students to earn a grade-point average of 3.5-3.9 and take 12 or more semester-hours.

Megan Boswell of Albany has been named to Berry College’s Dean’s List for the fall 2012 semester. To be eligible for the Dean’s List, a student must carry a semester GPA of 3.5 or better.
