ALBANY, Ga. — Deborah Walls, 59, died after her northbound 1998 Buick Regal crossed the median into a southbound Dougherty County ambulance about 4 p.m. Saturday on the Liberty Expressway, Georgia State Patrol Sgt. Barbara Brewton said.

Brewton released the information Sunday and said the ambulance carried two emergency personnel and a student when it was hit just before the Blaylock Street exit. Ambulance driver Lindsey Scott Satterfield, emergency medical technician Nelson Lynn Frazier and the unnamed student were taken to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, treated and released, Brewton said.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, Brewton said.
