SYLVESTER -- Mrs. Bernice White Boddiford, 84, of Sylvester died Tuesday January 22, 2013 at Pine Shadows Retirement Manor.
The graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 25, 2013 at the Hillcrest Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Cooper officiating.
Mrs. Boddiford was born on November 8, 1928 in Carrollton to the late Joe Burnice and Ella Mae Hightower White. She had lived in Sylvester since 1962 and was a graduate of West Georgia College and attended the University of Georgia. Mrs. Boddiford was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and reading. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her daughters, Vicki B. McKellar (Wayne) of Moultrie; Donna B. McGee (Johnny) of Carrollton; & Lisa B. Poole (Alan) of Sylvester, son, Joe Boddiford of Sylvester, grandchildren, Larry McKellar (Wendy), Debra M. Lightsey (Doug), Rhonda M. Dunn (Daniel), Josh Boddiford, Kayla P. Layfield (Dusty) & Kelly P. Hurst (Michael), great grandchildren, Hannah, Griffin & Heather Grace Dunn, Hayes & Davis Lightsey, Cash Layfield, Colton Hurst, Lindsey & Laney McKellar.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Boddiford was preceded in death by her husband, L. C. "Neal" Boddiford, Jr. on June 2, 1975.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 1:00 PM until service hour at Banks Funeral Home.
