LIVE OAK, Fla. — Tickets go on sale Saturday for the 2013 Wanee Music Festival, scheduled here April 18-20.
Festival mainstays the Allman Brothers Band are back for another go as hosts of the annual festival, and this year the Brothers will be welcoming such luminaries as Widespread Panic, Leon Russell, Gov’t Mule, Robet Randolph & the Family Band and Les Claypool’s Duo de Twang.
Other favorites who are part of the Wanee lineup are the Tedeschi Trucks Band, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Tower of Power, Jaimoe’s Jasssz Band, Electric Hot Tuna, Maceo Parker and the North Mississippi Allstars.
Also back for a second consecutive year is the traveling version of former Jefferson Airplane guitarist Jorma Kaukonen’s “Fur Peach Ranch” musician/songwriter workshops and tutelage.
Three-day tickets, which are $195 plus fees, will be on sale from 10 a.m. Saturday until Feb. 25 at 10 p.m. If tickets are available after that time, the price will increase. Tickets include three nights of primitive camping at the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park near Live Oak, music from 12:30 p.m. April 18 and full days of music April 19 and 20.
VIP passes are available for $495. Those passes include a three-day pass to the festival, special concert viewing at the Peach and Mushroom stages, three nights of primitive camping, a Wanee 2013 VIP T-shirt, a commemmorative Wanee laminate and poster, private restrooms, catered lunch and dinner on Friday and Saturday, complimentary snacks and soft drinks, discounted beer and access to the VIP-only Wanee pre-party.
Other scheduled performers at Wanee 2013 include Steel Pulse, Blackberry Smoke, Galactic & Friends, the Greyboy Allstars, Voices of the Wetlands All-Stars featuring Tab Benoit, Cyril Neville, Big Chief Monk Boudreaux, Jumpin’ Johnny Sansone, Waylon Thibodeaux, Johnny Vidacovich, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Royal Southern Brotherhood, the Bobby Lee Rodgers Trio, the Lee Boys, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, the Revivalists and Monophonics.
