Americans need a new, relaxed era

Letter to the Editor

As an Asian-American with 93 years here, I see and hear culture concerns. For 17 years, I was around African-American people daily. We had good relationships and everyone was equal. We made no slurs at each other.

The years 1963 and 1964, the African-Americans marched around our two grocery stores. We were friends. We stood strong with one another.

The cultures are many in 2013, and fast living. I think American people should all relax and step back, thank God for mercy, love and guidance to a new era in life where we accept what today brings to us and to be realistic.
