Property manager charged with forgery

ALBANY, Ga. — Doughtery County Police arrested a former property manager Monday for altering money orders for her own use. According to Sgt. Chad Kirkpatrick with the DCP, around 10:30 p.m. Diahanna McCulloch was charged with five counts of forgery in the fourth degree and transported to the Dougherty County Jail.

McCulloch, the former manager of Paradise Village Mobile Home Park at 600 Holly Drive, is alleged to have been forging new money orders she received from tenants as payment for their monthly rent, Kirkpatrick said. According to officials, McCulloch altered the original names on the documents and cashed them for around $1,800 total value.

"As far as we can tell right now, she was doing this through the month of June," Kirkpatrick said. "It may have been longer. We're still investigating."

Kirkpatrick said McCulloch's forgeries were reported when ownership of the home park recently changed and something "out of sorts" was discovered.
