Former President Jimmy Carter is scheduled to teach Sunday School this Sunday at Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains.


Baconton United Methodist Church will host a gospel sing at 7 p.m. on July 12 featuring Southern Majesty. Refreshments will be served, and a love offering will be taken. The program is open to the public.

A gospel sing is planned at 7 p.m. Saturday at Cross-Cultural Gospel Singing Barn near Leesburg. Featured will be In His Name from Fitzgerald. The barn is located at 603 State Highway 32 East. For more information, call Keith Hood at (229) 376-3293.

Vilulah Baptist Church in Coleman will conduct homecoming services at 11 a.m. on July 21 with the Rev. Dwayne Green preaching. Dinner on the grounds will follow the service, and special music coordinated by Darrell Paul will be provided after the meal. Also, revival will be held at the church July 22-24 at 7 p.m. each date. The Rev. Ben Crowdis, pastor of Cuthbert First Baptist Church, will be preaching.

A night of Southern gospel music is planned Saturday at the former Sumner School in Worth County. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. and feature The Believers and John Penney.
