Man wounded in drive-by shooting

ALBANY, Ga. -- The Albany Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning.

According to APD officials, Nicholas Gillison, 31, had arrived at his home on the 100 block of Mossydale Lane and was getting out of his vehicle around 3:30 a.m. when a car pulled up and someone inside the vehicle started shooting at him.

Police say the victim was struck in the lower back and was transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

Gillison's condition was unknown at The Herald's press time, and the APD has no information on the suspect.
