Educators to appear at town hall meeting

ALBANY, Ga. -- Newly hired Dougherty High School principal Ryan Gravitt and interim Doughtery County School Superintendent Butch Mosely are scheduled to speak with members of the public Saturday.

According to Ward 1 Albany City Commissioner and town hall organizer Jon Howard, the meeting will began at 10 a.m. and continue until about 11:30 a.m. at the Albany Community Center, 1721 E. Oglethorpe Blvd.

Howard said Gravitt will discuss his particular vision and goals for DHS teachers and students. Mosely will discuss his school system plans for the upcoming school year.

Howard urged community members to invite concerned parents, senior citizens, neighbors and students to the meeting, which is free to the community.
