Albany author named woman of leadership

ALBANY, Ga. -- Local author Melissa Diane Hudson has been selected by The International Women's Leadership Association as a woman of outstanding leadership in media.

Her radio talk show interviews discuss issues in her books which promote Godly living and abstinence from sex until marriage. She was featured in the April 2009 edition of "Woman" magazine, where she discussed issues of domestic violence after witnessing as a child the brutal death of her pregnant mother at the hands of her father.

Hudson's new urban Christian novel is "Midnight Creeping, Early Morning Reaping." She has a master's degree in education and a bachelor of arts degree in psychology. She is a widow and has one son.

Hudson was a 2012 Georgia author of the year nominee for her book "The Female Fool: 10 Reasons Why You Aren't Attracting a Good Christian Man."
