Murder suspect nabbed in Sylvester

SYLVESTER, Ga. — The Sylvester Police Department, working with the U.S. Marshal’s Office, captured a murder suspect Monday.

Lt. Ronnie Graddy, of the Criminal Investigation Division of the Sylvester Police Department, stated in a news release that Fabian Demetrick Williams was captured about 6 p.m. Monday.

According to officials, Williams had a number of outstanding warrants and was wanted for first-degree murder and armed robbery in Hillsborough County, Fla. Williams had been on the run from law enforcement since the April 2012 homicide, officials stated.

According to the news release, the Sylvester Police Department had obtained a tip during an extensive investigation, which led to Williams’ capture. Williams was taken to the Worth County Jail to await extradition to Florida.
