Police seek assault suspect information

ALBANY, Ga. — The Criminal Investigative Bureau of the Albany Police Department is asking for help in locating Antonio Rentrell Hayes, wanted for questioning in an aggravated assault case.

According to the APD, a woman who resides on the 400 block of South McKinley Avenue has accused Hayes of assaulting her with a knife at her residence. The incident took place at approximately 10:37 a.m. Monday, police officials say.

Hayes is known to frequent the Wild Pines apartment complex and was last seen driving a blue two-door 2007 Honda Civic with tinted windows and Georgia tag BSD 4134, officials say.

According to police, Hayes is about two years older than the identifying photo and was not wearing braids when last seen. Hayes also has two outstanding warrants which are unrelated to Monday’s incident, officials say.
