ALBANY, Ga. — The Albany Police Department’s Criminal Investigative Bureau is asking for assistance in locating Troy Toomer.

Toomer, 32, is wanted for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, obstruction of an officer and driving with a suspended license.

According to the APD, at approximately 1:30 p.m. on May 28, the APD Traffic Unit attempted to conduct a traffic stop at the intersection of East Oglethorpe Boulevard and Radium Springs Road. With lights and sirens initiated by the officer, Toomer is said to have continued east toward East Broad Avenue and Broadway Street. Police say at Bonnyview Avenue, Toomer jumped out of a red 2000 Ford Explorer and ran between nearby duplexes. A search was unsuccessful, the report states.
