Cedartown's Nick Chubb ran for 2,375 yards and 33 touchdowns during his junior season.
ATLANTA — Nick Chubb simply felt comfortable at home.
The No. 1-rated running back in Georgia and Cedartown star, Chubb gave the Georgia Bulldogs another huge commitment this week when he said he was choosing UGA over South Carolina and Auburn.
“That’s where I feel most comfortable,” Chubb told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “I’ve been to Georgia more than anywhere. I really like it there.”
Chubb ran for 2,375 yards and 33 touchdowns during his junior season, and he is the third commitment since Saturday for UGA, which may pick up another before the week’s out. Reportedly, Brooks County duel-threat Malkom Parrish is supposed to pick between the Bulldogs and Georgia Tech in the coming days.
Chubb, a four-star prospect according to most recruiting services, told the AJC that he chose the Bulldogs despite the fact Georgia already had a commitment from one of the most sought-after RBs in the nation, Florida’s Sony Michel.
“There’s competition everywhere,” he told the newspaper.
