State lawmakers to speak at meeting

ALBANY — State Reps. Winfred Dukes, D-Albany, of District 154; Carol Fullerton, D-Albany, of District 153, and Gerald Greene, R-Cuthbert, of District 151, and state Sen. Freddie Powell Sims, D-Dawson, of District 12, are scheduled to speak Saturday on bills passed by the 2013 General Assembly, according to Jon Howard, Ward 1 City Commissioner.

Howard said the town hall meeting is open to the public and will be held at 10 a.m. at the East Albany Community Center, 1721 E. Oglethorpe Blvd.

“Our House of Representatives and state senator will give us an update and recap the 2013 session,” Howard said. “Please invite your neighbors, friends and our youths to the meeting and get involved within your community.”
