Police/Fire/EMS report for March 2, 2013

ALBANY, Ga. — The Albany Police Department responded to at least 26 incidents on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Theft by taking on the 700 block of Dorsette Avenue, the 300 block of Slater King Drive, the 600 block of McArthur Street, the 200 block of Ebony Lane, the 1900 block of West Whitney Avenue and the 1500 block of Radium Springs Road;

— Wanted person on the 200 block of Pine Avenue and the 800 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Burglary on the 500 block of Don Cutler Sr. Drive;

— Burglary in the 1st degree on the 300 block of South Mock Road;

— Simple battery on the 3100 block of Wax Myrtle Court and the 600 block of West 2nd Avenue;

— Entering auto on the 1000 block of Pine Avenue;

— Aggravated assault on the 800 block of West Gordon Avenue;

— Use of city parks at night on the 700 block of Willie Pitts Road;

— Criminal trespass on the 1000 block of 5th Avenue, the 2000 block of Stratford Drive, the 400 block of South McKinley Avenue and the 1300 block of Mercantile Drive;

— Terrorist threats and acts on the 1900 block of North Slappey;

— Disorderly conduct on the 1500 block of Henri Avenue;

— Unruly child on the 1700 block of West Oakridge Drive;

— Reckless conduct on the 900 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Criminal damage to property on the 3600 block of Mayfair Drive;

— Suspended registration on the 900 block of East Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Public indecency (saggy pants) on the 1300 block of West Broad Avenue.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least eight calls on Thursday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Traffic accident on the 2100 block of Liberty Expressway and Leary Road east of Old Pretoria Road;

— Theft on the 1400 block of Liberty Expressway;

— Burglary (two calls) on the 3200 block of Sylvester Road;

— Family violence on Radium Springs Road.

ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least 11 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available records show. The incidents included stove fire, EMS assist, bedroom fire, grass fire, activated alarms, brush fire, unauthorized burns.

DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty Emergency Medical Service responded to 60 calls on Thursday, available records show. There were 47 medical calls and 12 trauma calls.

The medical calls included, but were not limited to, seven respiratory issue calls, five mental health calls, four altered mental health calls, four diabetic issue calls and four miscellaneous calls.

The trauma calls included eight falls and two auto accident victims.
