ALBANY, Ga. — Five defendants were found guilty Thursday in Dougherty Superior Court for a 2010 homicide at Brickhouse Productions, Evonne Mull, clerk of Superior Court of Dougherty County, confirmed.
The five defendants were accused in the shooting death of 20-year-old Lashelton Stanford at the now defunct Brickhouse Productions on Feb.14, 2010.
According to Mull, Shenard Dontravious Smith was found guilty on one count of malice murder and felony murder, two counts of aggravated assault and one count of possession of a firearm for commission of a crime.
Shuntavious Jermain Seay was found guilty on one count of felony murder and one count of aggravated assault, Mull said.
Shacoby Montrez Seay was found guilty on one count of felony murder and one count of aggravated assault.
Anthony Wayne Hawkins was found guilty on one count of felony murder and one count of aggravated assault.
Cavoris Barney was found guilty on one count of felony murder and one count of aggravated assault.
One of the six defendants, Sean Frazier, was found not guilty on the charges of felony murder and aggravated assault, Mull said.
Mull said that Antonio Seay, also arrested in the case, had earlier pleaded guilty to the charge of aggravated assault. According to Mull, Antonio Seay must serve three years in prison with an additional 17 years on probation.
Dougherty Superior Court Judge Denise Marshall presided over the case. Sentencing is expected to take place in about two weeks.
