ALBANY, Ga. — Westover High School seniors Amber Fleming and Bria Richardson are considering careers in criminal justice.
To learn more about career option in law enforcement, they visited Albany State University recently to shadow the police department officers.
The students experienced first-hand the day to day operations of a university police station and observed administrative and functional processes. They also toured the Dougherty County jail.
“This was the first time the department had students shadowing from a local high school, said ASU Chief of Police John Fields. “We were pleased that we could help the students make a sound decision in life, by discussing attending college and providing a real-life police shadowing experience to their resume.”
