Harris said two males, a driver and a passenger, were in the vehicle. According to Harris, the chase began at approximately 2:15 p.m. Tuesday in Lee County. The fugitives were apprehended by the Albany Police Department at Eighth Avenue and Monroe Street approximately 30 minutes later.

Harris said the chase had been joined by “multiple law enforcement agencies.”

A green leafy substance, suspected to be marijuana, was found in the suspects’ car, he said. The substance will be tested at the state crime lab.

Harris said it likely will be this morning before charges are determined. Names have not been released.

I don't know, should this go in the "Ain't Albany Great?" or the "Ain't Lee County Great?" squawkbox?

I think maybe they should not have been able to afford that Cadillac coupe? I mean, other than through illegal and illicit activity which they didn't want to be found out so maybe that's why they tried to evade the authorities? They not the only ones around here like that!

Our thieves are so successful they drive Cadillacs! Nobody is poor in SWGA. Well, except for those working people. I bet their "family" is following the chase route because you can bet something got thrown out a window.

Does this mean a high speed chase was going on through MULTIPLE school zones during the hours that school was getting out? have they lost their ever-loving minds? Since when does a "green leafy substance" take precedence over the safety of a child or the general public for that matter? This is so crazy....

I don't think it was the dope they were after but suspected the car was stolen because the license plate was registered to a Lexus and not a Caddie.

So? Does this entitle them to put children in jeopardy with a high speed chase through school zones during the hours school will be letting out?
