Michael Johnson, Gauffrey Hall and Theodore Jones were indicted Wednesday for a robbery on Rood Street in Albany. Johnson is also connected, prosecutors say, to a robbery of SunTrust Bank in Albany in a case being investigated by the FBI, the shooting of an Albany man at Merry Acres Inn on Dawson Road, and robbery of the Winery on Gillionville Road.
Johnson is currently in jail in Bibb County on unrelated charges there. Dougherty District Attorney Greg Edwards says that his office is working to get Johnson to Dougherty County to answer his charges.
Thomas Lee Bennett, 41, was shot with a shotgun in November at Merry Acres while walking from his room to an ice machine. Police originally arrested two different men, but later dismissed the charges.
The indictment lodged against the three men Wednesday stems from a December 2012 robbery in which prosecutors contend they took $336 in cash and a Kindle Fire from a victim on the 900 block of Rood Street while holding her at gunpoint with a shotgun and handgun.
According to the Bibb County Jail website, Michael Jerome Johnson is currently being held on armed robbery and burglary charges. He’s been granted a $7,000 bond but is in jail on a hold from other law enforcement agencies.

Having the right one usually isn't the problem. Proving it to a Judge and Jury around here that can be a real problem. Does anyone recall the Juror in an Insurance Fraud case that hung the Jury. After it was over, it was stated that they could never vote guilty because the Gentleman did so much good for his community. You don't only fight legal issues around here.
