ALBANY, Ga. — Dougherty County School System officials said power was restored midday Thursday to the Sylvandale Pre-K Center after an Wednesday night car crash nearby knocked out electricity to the facility.
DCSS Spokesperson R.D. Harter said Pre-K students were taken to Live Oak Elementary during the outage while students who are a part of the Oak Tree Psycho-Ed program were transferred to Jackson Heights Elementary.

Right!!! Busing Pre-K students, goodness. I am like Shinedown, was that the closest facility for them to spend the day?

Send them home!! It is not a mandatory state requirement that they even be there. Now you go add money to the stretched budget to run them all over the county.

Maybe they sent them to the closest place which had room and could accomodate them.

Pre-4 is not a babysitter. Send them home and let the parents deal with it. Is the lottery going to pay for the trouble that it caused DCSS or the driver who hit the power lines? Get over your thinking that DCSS or the state owes you free babysitting service.
