According to police officials, two men entered the Family Dollar Store on East Oglethorpe Boulevard around 9:30 a.m., robbed the store and fled on foot. A witness described the men as wearing camouflage and dark-colored, hooded sweatshirts. One of the men was described as having a prominent cut or scar on his face.
Johnny Hill has also been charged in connection with a car hijacking that occurred March 9 on Clark Avenue. APD spokesperson Phyllis Banks says that the hijacker paid the victim in the case to take him into East Albany and, once inside the vehicle, pulled a black handgun, then took the car and the victim’s money.
