Emergency crews work to subdue a naked man onto a stretcher in the Walgreens parking lot Thursday afternoon.
ALBANY, Ga. — A naked man was subdued by officers of the Albany Police Department in the parking lot of Walgreens Drugs, 300 North Slappey, officials said.
Phyllis Banks, spokesperson for the APD said David Emanuel Mattison, 26, “started somewhere on North Slappey” around 5:30 p.m. on Thursday and began running and tearing off his clothes. Police officers used a Taser in the process of subduing Emanuel, officials said.
According to Banks, Emanuel was transported from the scene to Phoebe Putney Hospital for mental evaluation and was later charged with public indecency. Other charges may be pending, Banks said.
