Police/Fire/EMS report for March 15, 2013

ALBANY, Ga. — The Albany Police Department responded to at least 35 incidents on Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Loitering and prowling on the 400 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Disorderly conduct on the 2000 block of West Broad Avenue, the 200 block of Cordele Road and the 2900 block of Habersham Road;

— Theft by taking on the 3200 block of Fernridge Drive, the 600 block of 11th Avenue, the 2600 block of Dawson Road and the 200 block of North Slappey Boulevard;

— Open container on the 1700 block of Gillionville Road;

— Suspended license on the the 100 block of Broadway Street and the 2000 block of South Madison Street;

— DUI less safe on the 1300 block of East Tift Avenue and the 1000 block of West Oakridge Drive;

— Discharging a firearm within city limits on the 600 block of Mission Court;

— Reckless conduct on the 3800 block of Mayfair Lane (family violence);

— Terrorist threats and acts on the 300 block of East Oakridge Drive;

— Theft by conversion on the 1400 block of Eager Drive;

— Criminal trespass on the 1700 block of McArthur Street, the 100 block of South Slappey Boulevard, the 2400 block of Brierwood Drive, the 2900 block of Habersham Road, the 2000 block of Stratford Drive and the 700 block of South Westover Boulevard;

— Wanted person on the 2200 block of Dawson Road;

— Theft of missing or mislaid property on the 600 block of North Slappey Boulevard;

— First-degree forgery on the 2000 block of Trowbridge Road;

— Criminal damage to property on the 2000 block of Beachview Drive;

— Missing juveniles on the 900 block of Dorsett Avenue;

— First-degree burglary on the 1100 block of Roosevelt Avenue, the 200 block of Waverly Avenue and the 600 block of North Washington Street;

— Simple assault on the 300 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard;

— Theft by shoplifting on the 300 block of North Slappey Boulevard;

— Saggy pants at the intersection of Magnolia and Gordon Avenues.

DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 14 calls on Wednesday, available reports show. The incidents included:

— Traffic accident on the 2200 block of Liberty Expressway and the 1400 block of South Mock Road;

— Criminal trespass on the 3900 block of Vanderbilt Drive;

— Attempted suicide on the 400 block of Lovers Lane Road;

— Motor vehicle theft on the 2000 block of Liberty Expressway;

— Theft on the 4800 block of Folly Drive;

— Animal call on the 3200 block of Sylvester Road;

— Lost property on the 1500 block of Grand Cypress Lane and the 3000 block of Lonesome Road.

ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least 12 calls on Wednesday and in the early hours of Thursday, available records show. The incidents included activated alarms, vehicle fire, EMS assist, shorted stove element, trash fire, overheated A/C motor, balloon on power lines.

DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty Emergency Medical Service responded to 63 calls on Wednesday, available records show. There were 45 medical calls, 17 trauma calls and one assist for the Albany Fire Department.

The medical calls included, but were not limited to, six respiratory issue calls, five altered mental status calls, three chest pain calls, three mental health calls, two faintings, one seizure call, one diabetic call and 21 various medical calls.

the majority of the trauma calls were 15 auto accident calls.
