'Bright Side' set for Sunday debut

It's been called the "anti-Squawkbox" but starting this Sunday the Herald will unveil it's newest user-submitted column: The Bright Side.

If you know of something good, or someone doing something good in Southwest Georgia, you can submit entries several different ways:

— Calling (229) 888-9351 and leaving a comment at the tone;

— Faxing to (229) 888-9357;

— Mailing to: Bright Side, c/o The Albany Herald, News Dept., P.O. Box 48, Albany, Ga. 31702;

— Dropping a written comment off at our office at 126 N. Washington St.

I've got some real nice things I'm going to say about TPostell, Jr. Langstaff, Christopher the Piker and Milquetoad Mayretta. I am so excited.

So are we no longer going to have the squawk box in which to vent our frustrations as to mans inhumanity to man?

Lets start calling it the "Backside" as in my butt.

I suspect that the Bright Side will have its usual posters just like the Squawkbox does ... and never the twain shall meet.

think both columns should be reserved for subscribers not those that are aquawking from the Lee State Prison or the State Hospital in Thomasville

I hope that the Bright Side is successful! Albany-Dougherty needs all the positives it can get. I have been hoping for this type of format.

I bet it won't have as many comment as the squawkbox. Might be a good time to market rose colored glasses.
