DAWSON, Ga. — A drug arrest was made Thursday morning in Dawson, officials say.
Officials with the Terrell County Sheriff’s Office say that Quantev Sapp was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
An agent with the drug unit in Dawson, who wished not to be named because of undercover investigations, said the arrest took place after a warrant was executed at 6:30 a.m. on Thursday at 253 Anderson St. following a weeklong investigation.
Investigators reportedly found 24 individually wrapped bags of marijuana and 17 suspected Ecstasy pills. The pills have been sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation lab for confirmation testing.
Drug agents say the 31-year-old Sapp was arrested without incident and that the investigation is ongoing.
