KNOXVILLE – The Professional Indoor Football League named Albany Panthers DB Damian Daniels the Week 3 Players of the Week.

Daniels, who is nicknamed “The Nighthawk,” has always been known as a tightfisted defender to opposing offenses, having garnered an 89 career interceptions. On Saturday, the “Nighthawk” would make up for the lost time picking off two Russell Hill passes in the Panthers 64-51 victory against the Alabama Hammers. In addition to winning the Week 3 Defensive Player of the Week, his two INT performance brings him to just seven shy of the all-time arena/indoor record of 98 held by Kenny McIntyre.
